Our Lady of Victory, High School Youth Ministry primary focus is to help your teens have a closer relationship to Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist. For the last six years, we successfully adopted the LifeTeen.com program to impart the Scriptural and Church teaching knowledge needed for teens to develop a sacramental relationship with Jesus Christ. Our focus remains fixed on teens understanding why His Presence in the Eucharist is the “source and summit (LG 11)" of our Faith.

LIFETEEN NIGHTS High School Youth Ministry meets at the Parish Hall every Wednesday, 6pm for dinner and then proceed into our ministry session from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. We seek to empower teens, through prayer, engaging activities, small groups discussions, and fellowship opportunities, to grow confident in their Church and pick up the cross of discipleship so they can live in a manner that leads others to “glorify God (Galatians 1:24)”. Our ministry will always remain centered in the person of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. We are also a ministry of Evangelization, Charity, and Social Justice. There will be several activities throughout the year to support these goals.
Youth Ministry is primarily a personal encounter with Jesus through the relationships teens make with each other. They share their faith, struggles, and grow together into a strong community we call The Church with its center on Jesus, present, body, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist. For that reason, our doors are always open to share the Gospel of Truth, Life, and the Way of Jesus Christ. We are blessed with a team of CORE Adult Volunteers who share their own Faith experiences and make a Safe Environment for the teens to grow more confident in God’s Love.
Our annual schedule is posted online (see this page) and it will be updated as more activities are added depending on ministry resources, parental support, and teen participation. We do host a Social Night once a month. Usually, our Social Night is at the end of the month unless schedule requires a change (Thanksgiving, Christmas). There are no social nights during Lent.
YOUTH DINNERS. Sharing a meal with other teens is another opportunity for fellowship to grow. Youth Ministry meets about 28 to 30 times between August to May every ministry year. We are asking adult parishioners, ministry groups, and parents to volunteer to cook meals for the teens. The parish will provide the food materials. You provide your culinary skills. We will also need assistance with setup/clean up. If we have at least 30 volunteers, this may a loving service you provide for the teens once or twice a year, but it will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested, please sign up on this page or contact Christine Paris at (850) 634-6409 for additional information.
COMMUNICATION is key. Once you are registered with the parish and for religious education, we use the Flocknote system to send you pertinent texts and e-mails. Read our Quarterly Newsletter to stay informed. We strive to keep our text/e-mails to the minimum required. We rely on them to keep you informed in the least intrusive way. Please read and provide feedback as required.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We are always looking for more volunteers. Since we are starting a cooking ministry to support Middle School and High School, we need help more than ever. Help in whatever you can. If you would like to join our CORE Adult team on Wednesday’s for Life Nights, or volunteering as chaperone/driver to activities please contact us to provide the information for Safe Environment requirements (fingerprints/training) that everyone must meet, but we do need help to succeed.
